Members Activities Committee

The Members Activities Committee is responsible for overseeing membership development and members activities and services.

In particular, but not limited to the following, the Members Activities Committee shall:

• prepare, develop, and recommend plans for member activities,
• stimulate the submission of and review proposals for members activities,
• make recommendations on matters concerning member activities, including proposals for new members activities and their regulations.

Members Activities Committee develops, promotes and oversees all activities and services for members.

• Chapters Sub-Committee overviews and promotes the chapters development and activities,
• Distinguished Lecturers Program Sub-Committee overviews and promotes knowledge dissemination by providing distinguished lecturers to Chapters events.
• Women in Computational Intelligence Sub-Committee develops and promotes activities to ensure equal opportunities to both genders in the Society¡¦s life and the computational intelligence arena,
• GOLD Sub-Committee develops and promotes activities to support scientists and professionals who recently graduated (Graduates Of the Last Decade),
• Student Activities Sub-Committee develops activities for undergraduate and graduate student members of IEEE CIS,
• Industry Liaison Sub-Committee develops and promotes activities to increase the involvement of industries and professionals in the computational intelligence arena,
• The Travel Grants Administrator looks after travel grants to conferences and other activities,
• History Sub-Committee collects and displays the history of computational intelligence and the Society,
• Senior Members Sub-Committee promotes the elevation of excellent CIS members to the IEEE Senior Member grade.

Fellows Committee evaluates, on the behalf of CIS in the IEEE evaluation process, the nominations of outstanding IEEE Senior Members in computational intelligence for elevation to the IEEE Fellow grade.

Awards Committee evaluates the nominations of outstanding CIS members for CIS awards.
