ISATC "Alternative Energies" Task Force

Purpose

The Task Force on Alternative Energies focuses on research, application and dissemination of computational intelligence technologies in the field of alternative energies. This Task Force will use a combination of special sessions and email discussion, and possibly some white papers or even special issues, as vehicles for addressing the question: How could intelligent systems be used -- together with other technologies -- to help us enhance fuel flexibility or efficiency, and address environmental concerns, in a way which makes the maximum possible contribution to the larger goals of sustainability -- especially to reduce the need for gasoline, reduce greenhouse gas emission, and increase the renewable share of electricity production worldwide?
